How did you get into the sport?

I have been orienteering my whole life as my parents were already involved in the sport.

How has the Blues Performance Scheme helped you?

I found the S&C support particularly useful and also liked having someone to talk through my long term training plans with. I was supported when I wanted to take some time out of uni for international competition and the Blues Performance Scheme helped me arrange this with my tutor.

What is your advice on balancing sport and academia?

It's very doable to balance sport and academia but you need to be organised. I like to have rough plan for the term and also make detailed week by week plans.

How have you managed training during lockdown?

Most of my training is running so I was lucky in that it wasn't too difficult for me to keep training. I missed the competitions but just enjoyed being able to train and improve.
