College Sport
College sport allows everyone at every level to get involved and be active whether that means joining an established college team in a league, going along to friendly training sessions or rallying up some friends to play in a one-off competition in a sport that you have never heard of!
Many colleges also offer a range of sports facilities, which may include an on site gym or sports field and may also run sports sessions specifically for its students. You can find out what your college has to offer from your college website and by speaking to the JCR/MCR college sports rep.
Inter-College Competitions
Inter-College competitions are generally delivered in the format of cuppers (knockout and individual championship style events) and/or inter-college leagues. Most inter-college competitions at Oxford are coordinated by sports clubs, as part of the sport's Blues status requirements, or a representative body within the University. Teams are generally made up from one college by departments, societies and merged colleges also enter teams so you never know who you will be competing against.
Many of the more regular competitions are run through PlayWaze allowing teams to keep up to date with the league standings, fixtures and results. These competitions are featured below but you can find out about all of the inter-college competitions and their full details (entry & ability requirements, contact details etc) on our College & Casual Sport Sharepoint (SSO necessary to view).
If you have any questions about inter-college competitions then you can contact sportsfed@sport.ox.ac.uk.
